Th e Powell Museum off ers a variety of exhibits
on the history and culture of the Colorado
Plateau. Th e public is invited to attend one
of their Artist of the Month receptions. Th e
Museum is also the Offi cial Page/Lake Powell
Visitors Center, and staff can assist you with
booking a slot canyon tour, or answer any
questions.
West of the Museum and Visitor Center, walk
across the Glen Canyon Dam and visit the Carl
Hayden Visitor Center. Here, you can sign up
for a tour of the dam, view exhibits and videos
on the (Glen Canyon) National Recreation
Area, and shop at their bookstore.
Th e area provides many trails to hike, bike, bird
watch and photograph.
Famous Horseshoe Bend, (Glen Canyon) Dam
Overlook, and Hanging Garden Trails are 1.5
miles or less, or one could hop on and hop off
the Rim View Trail, a 10-mile loop bordering
Page.
Lake Powell is a great spot for the angler in
your family. You can rent a boat and go out on
your own, or hire a fi shing guide who comes
with a boat.
