Over 1,000 WILD animals including lions, wildebeest, the largest herd of
zebras in the United States, ostrich, chimpanzees and rhinos live right here
in Palm Beach County’s backyard stretching on more than 300 acres. At Lion
Country Safari, large herds of animals from 6 continents roam free, while
humans visiting are enclosed (in their vehicles). In fact, your safari adventure
may be interrupted by tons of lumbering rhino or graceful giraff e as they cross
the road right in front of you. Just remember,
our animals have the right-of-way!
After visiting the four-mile drive-through
safari, there’s more to explore in the Safari
World Amusement Park including animal
shows, giraff e and bird feeding encounters,
a petting zoo, 4 rides, paddle boats
on Lake Shannalee, mini golf, gem &
fossil mining as well as more animal
habitats throughout. Plus, be sure
to cool off while on safari with our
interactive water sprayground featuring 23 water
options, our 2 child-friendly waterslides and Water Wars, where
you can test your water balloon slingshot skills against your opponent. We also
broke ground in August for an additional water attraction, scheduled for completion
in 2019. The new interactive water play structure is set in a zero depth entry pool
spreading over 10,000 square feet.
Be sure to allow fi ve hours to see everything WILD at Lion Country Safari. Mornings
are a great time to visit because most animals get fed then – many of the antelope
chow down right next to the road. Cooler days or rainy days are also great times
to visit because the animals tend to be more active then. Drive through our newly
expanded lion section and view our breeding pride of lions on either side of the road.
While in the preserve, be sure to drive at a slow pace so you don’t miss any animals –
they have many acres to roam in their
habitat and some of the babies may be
hiding in the grass next to the road or visible in your rear view mirror.
ADVENTURE starts at Lion Country Safari and it doesn’t end with just one visit. In fact, you
can visit all year long with our Annual Pass. The Annual Pass off ers unlimited visits to Lion
Country Safari for one year (no blackout dates), 20% off restaurant and gift shop purchases,
