“Take a Ride Through History”
The Quanah Acme & Pacific Railroad Museum
was opened in 1910 for passengers. In the 80's
the Historical Society purchased the building
and started work on a museum. There are 20
rooms that share the history of Hardeman
County. The bottom floor covers Railroad,
Pioneer, Quanah Parker and Lane Frost. The
top floor has the last curator's room, West Texas
Utilities, and the Quanah Cotton Oil Mill.

“City-County Heritage Museum”
The City-County Heritage Museum is located in
the historic QA&P Railroad Depot. This facility
houses exhibits that feature information and
artifacts found in Cottle County and the
surrounding area and is devoted to preserving
rural Texas history. Exhibits unique to Cottle
County include the original Marlboro Man and
cowboy, and Charlie Hart, Quanah Parkers
cousin. Private tours are available.
